My Story
Jeff Knurek is an award winning toy and game inventor, consumer product developer, graphic artist, illustrator, cartoonist, and puzzle creator. His first invention, to make it to market in 1989, was the outdoor volleyball meets foursquare sport, "SPIKEBALL". Knurek's game credits also include Family Fun magazine’s “Toy of the Year” award winners: "What's In Ned's Head?" and “Monster Under My Bed”. In 2008 Jeff Knurek became only the second artist to draw the cartoon for the Jumble puzzle which is seen in over 600 newspapers and is over 59 years old.
Jeff took over the art duties when the great Henri Arnold retired. Prior to that, Jeff has been an award winning toy and game inventor, consumer product developer, graphic artist, illustrator, cartoonist, and puzzle creator. Knurek's game credits include Family Fun magazine’s “Toy of the Year” award winners: "What's In Ned's Head?" and “Monster Under My Bed”. He also develops and licenses children’s magic tricks and products for Las Vegas headliner Mac King.
Jeff co-created games such as Uno 52 and Uno Freefall and Jumble games such as Word Vault, Word Web, Jumpin’ Jumble and Jumble Solitaire, which can be found online, on iPhones, Nintendo DS and other mediums. He is the artist for Jumble See and Search and Double Jumble and is co-creator of puzzles; Word Roundup, appearing in USA Today, and Boggle BrainBusters, which appears in newspapers across the country and is currently work on a new puzzle book which also contains a cartoon, called “Swifties”.
Knurek’s hometown is Southgate, Michigan. He as lived throughout the midwest, having lived in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. He received a B.F.A. in Industrial Design with an Art Education certification from the University of Michigan. In 2007, Jeff donated a kidney to a family member with Polycystic Kidney Disease and both are doing great. He resides in Fishers, Indiana with his incredible family.
